- (Mexico) seeks a Laboratory Test Engineer to execute and follow up on tests validating materials, components, and products for the automotive sector, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements. You will operate lab equipment, analyze results, prepare reports, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to support corrective actions.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2–4 years of experience in laboratory testing, validation, or quality in automotive/manufacturing.
  • Proficient English; knowledge of core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA) and IATF 16949 is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform laboratory tests and product validation activities.
  • Analyze and document test results.
  • Operate and monitor laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Verify compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Support failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical reports and result documentation.
  • Coordinate activities with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain basic control and calibration of testing equipment.

JOB PURPOSE

Execute and follow up on laboratory tests to validate materials, components, and products, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements within the automotive industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform laboratory tests and product validation activities.
  • Analyze and document test results.
  • Operate and monitor laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Verify compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Support failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical reports and result documentation.
  • Coordinate activities with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain basic control and calibration of testing equipment.
What we’re looking for
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in laboratory testing, validation, or quality within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge Required: Operation of laboratory equipment and instruments Interpretation of technical specifications and standards Data analysis and preparation of technical reports Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or performance testing Basic Core Tools knowledge (APQP, PPAP, FMEA) Automotive quality systems (IATF 16949) Excel and analysis tools
  • Other Requirements: English Level: Proficient.
