HL Mando Corporation Mexico is seeking a senior Employee Relations and Labor Relations leader for a manufacturing environment. You will guide union negotiations, advise Plant Management, and ensure strict labor-law compliance across operations.

The role requires handling complex labor matters, preventive risk actions, and leadership of an ER/LR team to maintain constructive relationships with unions and authorities.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, Law, Business Administration, or related field; Labor Law specialization preferred.
  • 10–20 years progressive ER/LR experience, ideally in manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience managing unionized employees and labor unions.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT) and CBAs.
  • Experience leading collective bargaining negotiations including CBA reviews and salary talks.
  • Experience handling disciplinary actions, terminations, grievances, investigations, and other sensitive labor matters.
  • Ability to assess labor risks, make decisions, and guide ER matters to resolution.
  • Experience with labor authorities, inspections, conciliation, and labor litigation.
  • Ability to identify labor risks early and implement preventive actions.
  • Advise leadership on labor relations strategy and risk.
  • Proven leadership in ER/LR team development.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, sound judgment, accountability in sensitive matters.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take ownership in critical ER situations.
  • Experience in automotive or large-scale manufacturing preferred.

Descripción del empleo

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A degree or specialization in Labor Law is highly preferred.
  • 10–20 years of progressive experience in Employee Relations (ER), Labor Relations, or Human Resources, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing unionized employees and maintaining constructive relationships with labor unions.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT), collective bargaining agreements (CBA), union regulations, and labor compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience leading collective bargaining negotiations, including CBA reviews, salary negotiations, and resolution of union-related issues.
  • Strong experience handling complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, terminations, workplace conflicts, grievances, investigations, absenteeism, misconduct, and other sensitive labor matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess labor risks, make sound decisions, and lead ER matters from initial assessment through final resolution.
  • Experience representing or supporting the company in matters involving labor authorities, inspections, conciliation procedures, labor litigation, and other government-related labor processes.
  • Ability to proactively identify potential labor and union risks and develop preventive actions before issues escalate.
  • Strong capability to advise Plant Management and senior leadership on labor relations strategy, employee relations risks, and sensitive workforce matters.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing an ER/Labor Relations team.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, sound judgment, and accountability when handling sensitive employee and union matters.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and take ownership of critical ER situations requiring timely decisions.
  • Experience in automotive or large-scale manufacturing operations is highly preferred.
