Job summary

Vertiv seeks an intermediate technician to organize equipment, perform routine testing, report findings, and adapt units with limited judgement gained from HVAC experience. You will work in a hands-on lab setting, contributing to safe testing practices and data-driven improvements.

As part of the team, you will set up facilities, operate in a lab environment, and collaborate with engineers to develop testing capabilities, analyze results, and support QA processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 4 years HVAC experience required.
• Brazing, piping, and basic wiring skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings for prototype builds.
• Experience with temperature, pressure, and electrical property measurements.
• Team oriented with good planning, documentation, and communication.
• Safety and 5S practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up test facility and instrumentation per instructions.
• Operate in a testing lab safely.
• Maintain a clean, productive lab space.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop system testing capabilities.
• Analyze and improve existing processes and designs.
• Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Support QA and understand low-level functions in software/products.
• Conduct tests and analyze data.
• Participate in 5S improvement programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
