Vertiv seeks a Technician in Monterrey, Mexico, for intermediate level testing duties. Responsibilities include setting up test facilities, operating lab equipment, and supporting engineers in product testing.

The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree plus related experience in HVAC, possess strong mechanical and wiring skills, and be capable of troubleshooting. A team-oriented mindset and good attendance are essential for this role.

Formación

  • Two-year Associate's Degree + 1 year or at least 4 years of HVAC directly related experience.
  • Experience with 208/230/460V 3-phase 60 Hz wiring.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings for prototype builds.

Position Summary

This is an intermediate level for testing with sufficient experience to handle most assignments. The Technician will organize equipment, perform routine testing, report findings, and make adaptations to units exercising a limited degree of judgment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up test facility and instrumentation in response to general instructions.
  • Operate in a testing lab environment safely and successfully.
  • Organize and maintain a safe, clean, productive lab space.
  • Support and collaborate with engineers to structure and develop system testing capabilities and products.
  • Analyze and improve existing processes & designs as required.
  • Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and correct issues.
  • Assist in developing solutions or workarounds to resolve issues.
  • Work with the engineering and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to fully understand low-level functions within application software or products, as applicable.
  • Assist the QA team in understanding or developing low-level functional and system integration tests.
  • Conduct tests, analyze data, and make modifications to units being tested within limits of intermediate nature.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Participate in 5S improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two-year Associate's Degree + 1 year *or* at least 4 years of HVAC directly related experience.
  • Brazing, piping, and basic wiring skills.
  • Experience with 208/230/460V 3‑phase 60 Hz wiring.
  • Instrumentation and low‑voltage wiring experience.
  • General mechanical skills and ability to read mechanical drawings for prototype builds.
  • Good working knowledge and skills in testing related to temperature, pressure, and electrical property measurement.
  • Strong planning, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Good attendance.
  • MS Office experience helpful.
  • Team‑oriented mindset.

Occasionally high ambient conditions.

10% or less.
