Syntax is seeking a Jr Network Engineer to support design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure across the organization. The role emphasizes reliable, secure connectivity and collaboration with infrastructure teams and service providers to resolve incidents and improve operations.

You will work with LAN/WAN/WLAN, firewalls, VPNs, and related tools, participating in automation initiatives and AI-assisted monitoring to strengthen efficiency and visibility.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in network support or infrastructure operations.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and subnetting.
• Exposure to firewalls, VPNs, and network security concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Support the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network security infrastructure.
• Assist in troubleshooting network incidents, connectivity issues, and performance problems.
• Monitor network availability, alerts, logs, and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues.
• Assist with documentation of network changes and enhancements.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to support projects and upgrades.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Follow change management and security processes.
• Participate in root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Contribute to automation and AI-enabled operational support where applicable.
