Job summary

Celestica's Global Automation team in Monterrey seeks an entry-level Developing Controls Engineer. You'll split time between Turn-Key projects with external integrators and in-house control developments, building foundational control architectures and gaining hands-on experience on real manufacturing lines.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Automation Engineering, you will gather requirements, evaluate vendors, track procurement, and support FAT/SAT and shop-floor commissioning as you grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer, or Robotics Engineering.
• Strong baseline structural logic and programming basics.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control cabinet layouts.
• Proficiency with Excel and Smartsheet for tracking projects.
• Bilingual communication in English and Spanish (minimum B2).
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-changing environment.
• Entry Level: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience or solid academic project background.

Responsibilities

• Gather and scope technical requirements from shop-floor audits.
• Document URS and SOWs to validate automation concepts.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and benchmark Turn-Key solutions.
• Assist in designing and programming basic control architectures.
• Track procurement and import logistics for control hardware.
• Support FAT and SAT and shop-floor commissioning.
