Job summary

Placements24 in Mexicali, Baja California, seeks a Jefe de Línea de Producción (Automatización) to lead a high-volume production line with a focus on automation, safety, and quality. You will oversee daily operations, optimize workflows, and mentor operators and technicians.

The role requires a proven track record in production management, experience with PLCs, robotics, and SCADA, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in production management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, robotics, SCADA).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day production activities on the assigned line, ensuring targets are met.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of production operators, supervisors, and technicians.
• Implement and maintain automated systems and technologies to improve production efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Monitor production performance metrics, analyze deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to quality control standards and procedures throughout the production process.
• Develop and manage production schedules in coordination with planning and logistics departments.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment, prioritizing automation systems.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize operational costs.
