Placements24 in Mexicali, Baja California is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on Processes and Continuous Improvement to optimize existing operations and drive efficiency and quality. You will apply lean methods to redesign processes and partner with production and engineering to implement innovations.

The role requires a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years in process improvement, with hands-on Kaizen, 5S, VSM, and SOP development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement within manufacturing.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Design, develop, and implement new or improved manufacturing processes and systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events, and lean projects.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Implement 5S, VSM, and Poka-Yoke to eliminate waste and improve flow.
• Monitor KPIs related to process efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies to enhance production capabilities.
• Train and mentor production staff on process improvements and best practices.
• Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
