Mastercard is seeking a Java Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support scalable payment technology solutions. You will work in an Agile team, delivering cloud-native services with strong security, reliability, and performance standards.

The ideal candidate has deep Java experience, Spring Boot, AWS expertise, and a passion for automation and operational excellence. Excellent English communication is essential in our global environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and modern Java frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Working knowledge of Ruby and experience maintaining Ruby-based apps or automation solutions.
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, SNS/SQS.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Solid understanding of OO design, patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and services supporting Mastercard products and platforms.
• Own software delivery activities at the application and component level, including deployment and production support.
• Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across environments.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices and secure coding.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, SREs, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver value.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Implement monitoring and observability for operational excellence.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
• Adopt new technologies as required by business needs.
