Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a MID Java + ASO Engineer for remote work. You will set up Java projects, initialize repositories, and manage branches with a focus on clean integration and learning opportunities.

You should have basic Java programming experience, OOP understanding, and familiarity with JDK and IDEs. The role emphasizes flexible work arrangements and ongoing skill development within Capgemini's global teams.

Qualifications

• Basic Java programming experience with understanding of OOP.
• Knowledge of an additional OO language is preferred.
• Familiarity with JDK, IDEs, and core Java features.
• Experience with generics, collections, and functional style APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure basic Java development setups.
• Initialize and clone repositories; manage commits and branches.
• Merge branches and resolve conflicts during integration.
• Collaborate on code quality and basic test tasks.
