Johnson Controls, a global leader in industrial systems, seeks a Programming Engineer to manage MES-based applications on the production floor and drive efficiency across key processes. You will implement applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, Angular and jQuery, and collaborate with MES developers and the COE team.

Responsibilities include testing, documentation, mentoring, and providing operational support to Plant Leads as production systems evolve through continuous improvement and changes

Formación

• English proficiency (80%+).

What you will do:

This position will be responsible of manage and implement all systems and new applications created by MES and developers on production floor, making sure that transactions are follow up to optimize plant operations, ensuring efficiency, precision and continuous improvement in key processes; and will be a liaison person between Plant Leads and system development programmers.

How you will do it:

• Project management:

• Implement applications on production using C#, .NET, JavaScript, Angular and jQuery.

• Testing and documentation:

• Perform testing and debugging of developed applications along with software developers.

• Participate with software developers to document technical procedures and create user manuals.

• Support and mentoring:

• Resolve technical incidents and provide support to Plant Leads.

• Provide mentoring to other developers on the team.

• Work together with MES developers and COE TEAM in Transformation Activities.

• Responsible for supporting Plant Leads of existing and new plant applications.

• Responsible to implement new applications.

• Responsible of implementation about changes on actual system s in production and other departments.

• Support continues improvement initiatives on new applications required within the production and other departments.

• Report all injuries, almost accidents, unsafe acts / conditions and occupational health problems and take the necessary corrective measures, as well as support in the investigation.

• Support and comply with all security practices, systems and rules established in the company.

• Keep the areas clean and tidy, maintaining the 5’s standards.

• Properly use Personal Protective Equipment.

What we look for:

Required:

• Databases: SQL Server.

• ERP: SAP (RFC, BAPIs, queries, transactions).

• Effective communication: Ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

• Teamwork: Collaboration with different areas and teams to achieve common goals.

• Leadership: Ability to coordinate projects, guide teams and foster a positive environment.

• Problem solving: Analytical ability to identify problems and propose efficient solutions.

• Time management: Organization and prioritization of tasks to meet established deadlines.

• Adaptability: Flexibility to proactively face changes and new technologies.

• Critical thinking: Objective evaluation of situations to make informed decisions

• Programming Engineer or similar

• English > 80 %.

• Minimum of two years of experience develop software.

Preferred:

• Manufacturing processes: workflows, process optimization, and production control.

• Integration of ERP systems and custom applications.

• Agile development frameworks, such as Scrum, for project planning and execution.

• Professional recognition and industry networking are desired and speak to large audience.
