Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a senior COE Manager to lead ERP and manufacturing engineering activities for full ERP implementation, standard cost reporting, and perpetual inventory across multiple plants in Mexico.

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field.
• MBA preferred though not required.
• 8+ years of management experience and manufacturing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and SAP experience.
• Active participation in ERP system implementations.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex procedures and write reports.
• Knowledge of integrated information systems across manufacturing, materials, procurement and finance.

Responsabilidades

• Manage ERP systems and Manufacturing Engineering activities to fully implement ERP and report standard cost and perpetual inventory.
• Coordinate COE services across satellite departments from project start to closure.
• Lead the COE to provide best practices, research, support and training in the focus area.
• Develop and implement manufacturing plant layouts aligned with ERP systems, SCM setups, and routing times using lean practices (5S, standardized work, Kaizen).

What you will do?

Responsible for the COE overall performance providing to the manufacturing plants the best practices for implementing a full ERP system, optimizing the resources and systems available, evaluating current situation for obtaining the standard cost and perpetual inventory with the most accurate numbers and providing the solutions to fix the identified gaps.

How you will do it?

• Under general direction, manages overall ERP systems and Manufacturing Engineering activities to have the ERP system fully implemented and able to report standard cost and perpetual inventory.

• As a SCE and ME COE Manager: you will hold direct accountability of the COE services provided to the multiple satellite company departments participating on a specific project from the beginning to the closure of the project.

• As a manager of the center of excellence, you will lead the department to provide best practices, research, support and/or training for a focus area. The COE isan organization that works across business units (BUs) or product lines within a BU and has a leading-edge knowledge and competency in that area. It is comprised of highly skilled individuals and experts, who disseminate knowledge in an organization and share best practices from development to implementation.

• This role will hold broad responsibility for developing and implementing the proper manufacturing plant layout matching describing the ERP systems including the SCM set ups and parameters needed plus work centers, product families, validating the drawings, developing the routings with all proper cycle times using the most advance lean manufacturing tools such 5S, standardized work Kaizen and immediately providing feedback for the findings during the initial validation stage. As a result of the above-described activities the organization will be able to report the standard cost and have a full perpetual inventory.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study

• 8+ years of Management experience

• 8 + years of Manufacturing experience

• ERP system implementation active participation

• Extensive knowledge and experience with MRP and ERP systems.

• Must be able to analyze and interpret complex technical procedures, business periodicals, and journals as well as write reports and procedure manuals.

• Degree in Business or equivalent field. MBA preferred though not required. APICS Certification preferred though not required.

• In-depth knowledge of computerized integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, finance and distribution) and a superior understanding of manufacturing material flow in a plant.

• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)

• Must be a proactive change agent and possess leadership skills to build and maintain a team-oriented environment.

• Must have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff and to interact with various departments throughout the organization.

• Understanding of manufacturing operations and supporting business processes and the ability to effectively communicate and drive change in a manufacturing environment, across levels in the organization and extending to internal and external partners, is critical.

• Ability to understand and clarify business needs and develop processes that achieve business objectives is a must.

• Extended knowledge of ERP business systems and experience as business analyst helping to design and document processes, including implementing supporting IT tools, preferred. SAP experience.
