Warner Bros. Discovery in Mexico City is seeking a Business Analyst to drive planning and execution across one or more software solutions, defining requirements and coordinating with business and technology teams to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

The position covers requirements development, quality assurance, project management for releases, and SOX documentation, with focus on Content Rights, Scheduling, Traffic and Reconciliation operations.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent degree/work experience.
  • Experience supporting technology solutions in a Media industry organization.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with mid to large-scale software development projects – understanding all phases of systems development.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead business requirements development based on use cases/user stories.

  • Coordinate with internal and external technical teams to cover mandatory business requirements.

Your New Role:

The Business Analyst is responsible for the planning and execution throughout the lifecycle of one or more software solutions within the business domain. This includes creating and prioritizing product and business requirements and working closely with business and technology teams to ensure business stakeholder and end user satisfaction goals are met. He or she will create and develop requirements and concepts for product enhancements in support of business and technology needs. This position provides a wide variety of services to our business users including business analysis and quality assurance, in support of strategic and tactical planning of systems features / functionality as well as day to day business operations. The role also entails Project Management for software releases and managing of SOX processes and documentation.

Your Role Accountabilities:
Business Analysis
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to generate business requirements based on use cases/user stories. Prioritize and scope based on business input and ROI.
  • Lead collaboration with the global teams to assure incorporation of global requirements for enhancements when prioritized and justified related to regional requirements. Assure no negative impact to global regional workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, vendor engineering, internal technical teams and external technical teams to assure vendor and technical designs cover mandatory business requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact for the business for the support of system functionality, business process and workflow and react to emerging or changing revenue opportunities and industry trends.
  • Lead proof-of-concept priority projects related to new or adjusted business processes to satisfy industry or business adjustments.
  • Participate in assessment and feasibility studies of available technologies and recommend solutions.
  • Manage business and functional requirements for one or more business solutions related to Content Rights, Scheduling, Traffic, Presentation and Reconciliation operations.
  • Manage relationships with multiple business organizations, global technology groups and 3rd party software vendors including: facilitating requirement and design workshops, reviewing designs, test plans and test cases; reviewing vendor deliverables and schedules; managing quality or delivery issues with the vendor; coordinating end user testing and sign-off for in-house and vendor deliverables.
Functional Testing
  • Perform functional testing and document workflow and configuration changes related to system and process adjustments based on Proof-of-concept outcomes or business requirements.
Training
  • Provide a walk thorough of new functionality including both system functionality and region-specific recommended configuration and workflow. Train the trainer.
  • Assist in the design, delivery, and improvement of in-house training programs and related courseware.
Compliance and Standards
  • Ensure compliance with Warner Bros. Discovery Software Development Lifecycle documentation and mandated compliance requirements for all application changes.
General

Work independently under minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent degree/work experience
  • Experience supporting technology solutions in a Media industry organization
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with mid to large-scale software development projects – understanding all phases of systems development
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; excellent listening skills, ability to interface with business customers at all levels of the organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent people skills – negotiation, conflict resolution, providing direction and focus
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time with minimal supervision and to ensure that overall priorities are being met
  • Proven ability to successfully operate within, and contribute to, a high growth, entrepreneurial, fast paced business and matrix environment.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in Air-Time Sales, Business Intelligence, and Audience Research business areas and respective applications desirable
  • Formal Business Analysis Training desirable
  • Experience with AI enabled application business design and usage a plus.
