Job summary

Passport seeks a detail-oriented Freight Operations Specialist to manage end-to-end freight for Passport Global clients. You will coordinate shipments from supplier pickup through customs clearance and final warehouse delivery, overseeing documentation, tracking, expense reporting, and partner communication.

You will handle international air, ocean, and ground shipments, request quotes, book shipments, and coordinate with manufacturers, carriers, and warehouses to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• End-to-end international freight shipments experience across multiple modes.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, shipping docs, and customs clearance.
• Hands-on experience with TMS and WMS platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• Analytical and proactive problem-solver coordinating with clients, manufacturers, forwarders, brokers, and warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Manage international air, ocean, and ground shipments from origin through customs clearance, delivery, and warehouse receipt.
• Request and compare quotes, route and book shipments based on cost and transit time.
• Coordinate cargo-ready dates, pickups, labels, and delivery appointments with manufacturers, carriers, and warehouses.
• Prepare packing lists and commercial invoices; verify consignee details, HS codes, Incoterms, and origin information; coordinate customs clearance.
• Track shipments, keep trackers current, communicate status and delays, and resolve shipment exceptions.
• Use TMS and WMS to manage bookings, milestones, and warehouse receiving; maintain shipment records.
• Prepare monthly client expense reports covering warehouse costs and inbound/outbound freight.
• Audit 3PL and freight charges, resolve discrepancies, coordinate credits, and identify improvements.
