This role combines hands-on engineering with cross‑functional collaboration, mentoring junior engineers, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years in process engineering with renewable energy focus (solar/wind/geothermal).
• Experience in process design, simulation, and optimization.
• English and Spanish proficiency; ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize renewable energy processes for solar, wind, and other sources.

Our client, a prominent player in the Energía sector, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Renewable Energy Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Monterrey, Nuevo León . This role is crucial for driving innovation and efficiency in our renewable energy projects. You will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and optimization of processes related to solar, wind, and other sustainable energy sources. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize industrial processes for renewable energy generation, focusing on efficiency and sustainability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new renewable energy projects, identifying potential challenges and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues in operational renewable energy facilities.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in renewable energy technology and process engineering, proposing innovative solutions.
• Ensure all processes comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, geothermal, etc.).
• Proven experience in process design, simulation (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, HEC-RAS), and optimization.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Experience with renewable energy plant operations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations in Mexico.
