Baker Hughes is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Mexico to provide mechanical design support for ESP &Hpumps (Surface) systems and related downhole equipment. You will collaborate with engineering and operations to deliver robust designs.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical design, proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/NX) and ERP tools (TeamCenter, SAP), and fluent English. You will implement design changes, produce design reports, and support cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably oilfield/downhole equipment.
• Solid knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX) and basic design methods.

Mechanical Design Engineer – Baker Hughes

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Provide mechanical design support and expertise to ESP & Hpumps (Surface) Systems Group (Pumps, motors, seals, intakes, etc) under the guidance and instruction of the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
• Support the continuous improvement of the mechanical aspects of existing completion equipment and downhole systems by working with engineering and operational colleagues to assess potential improvements driven by client feedback and feedback from the field.
• Implement design changes as required.
• Demonstrate the suitability and robustness of design changes via calculation and analysis. (GD&T, stackups).
• Demonstrate changes implemented are in accordance with relevant codes of practice (where applicable).
• Provide design reports.
• Support the production, manufacturing, assembly, field, supply chain, quality department where required.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical degree (Mechatronics, Electronic, etc) with equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience working in a similar role (Experience including the design of oilfield (preferably downhole) equipment is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of CAD (Solidworks/NX).
• Knowledge of ERP´s (TeamCenter, SAP).
• Good understanding of mechanical / structural analytical and numerical design techniques.
• English Level for fluent Communication.
