Responsibilities

• Coordinates process planning and setup for NPIs, aligning takt, cycle time and direct labor needs.
• Reviews prototype and trial results, providing feedback to NPI and sales teams.
• Analyzes staff utilization, layouts, and data to improve worker and equipment efficiency.
• Recommends methods to reduce waste and boost throughput, including restructuring tasks and workflows.
• Confers with management to implement plans and recommendations.
• May develop cost-management and wage/salary administration systems.
• Develops production planning/control systems to coordinate activities and ensure quality.
• Designs/improves plant layout and distribution of goods.
• Leads Lean, automation and Six Sigma initiatives to cut costs and raise throughput.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Industrial Engineer located in Juarez

What a typical day looks like:

• During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
• Reviews result during protyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Examines staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
• May develop management systems for cost reviews, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Develops management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost reviews, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Designs or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations.
• Manages and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas like Lean, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.
