The Indirect JR Buyer

The Indirect JR Buyer position reports to the Plant Indirect Buyer. The main goal is to improve departmental times for quoting, purchasing, and contracting purposes.

• Purchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature following prescribed regulations and procedures.
• Resolve purchasing issues between the department and vendors.
• Manage SAP procurement operations.
• Interpret purchasing procedures to departments and vendors.
• Re-order indirect warehouse purchases to maintain a fill rate above 95%.
• Set up vendors in SAP as required by the plant indirect buyer.
• Track materials and services after purchase orders are issued to suppliers.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and materials, products, and services in the chinaware manufacturing industry (preferable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under direction and pressure.
• Results-oriented, innovative, and adaptable team player.
• Bachelor’s degree in administrative areas from an accredited university or college.
• At least 1 year of experience in sourcing and procurement.
• English proficiency at 70%.
• Knowledge of SAP/Ariba Network (preferable).
