Empresaconfidencial in Mexico is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for indirect materials and services to support wire harness manufacturing operations. The role centers on strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and cost optimization across production, maintenance, engineering, and administration functions.

Strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration are essential. Responsibilities include RFQs, supplier evaluations, contract management, and developing long-term supplier relationships

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in BA, SCM, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive/manufacturing.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QAD.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect materials and services.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives.
• Conduct RFQs, supplier evaluations, and competitive bidding processes.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, service agreements, and contracts.
• Analyze spend data and develop strategies to optimize procurement costs.
• Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers that support operational and business requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on quality, service, delivery, and cost competitiveness.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement activities.
• Negotiate long-term agreements that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Position Objective

To ensure the efficient procurement of indirect materials and services that support wire harness manufacturing operations by implementing strategic sourcing initiatives, optimizing supplier performance, reducing costs, and ensuring uninterrupted support for production, maintenance, engineering, and administrative functions.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, QAD, or equivalent.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Experience managing indirect purchasing categories in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Ability to analyze spending and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and plant support requirements.
