STERIS seeks an experienced Import/Export Coordinator in Mexico to manage cross-border logistics, ensure compliance with Mexican and international customs laws, and supervise documentation and reporting. You will interact with government authorities and brokers, aiming for efficient operations and cost improvements.

Applicants should have hands-on experience in IMMEX, PROSEC, and related systems, with a Bachelor's degree and strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Experience in import/export activities and customs procedures.
• Knowledge of IMMEX, PROSEC, Annex 24/31 and foreign trade regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate import-export logistics and ensure timely deliveries.
• Handle customs formalities and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain documentation and generate monthly import/export reports.
• Assist in government authority procedures (SAT, SE, VUCEM) and certifications.
• Monitor and control Annex 24/31 uploads and archive systems.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

Responsible for import operation in compliance with laws and regulations. Controlling of Import Licenses. Controls duties / tariffs at government institutions.

Duties

• Coordinates the import-export logistics, timely deliveries
• Following of the customs logistics formalities
• Make operation according to Mexican and international customs laws and regulations
• Provides assistance in the management of procedures with Gubernamental Authorities (SAT, SE, VUCEM)
• Determines tax payments according to Art. 303 TLCAN
• Upload and control of Annex 24/31
• Archive control of Import-Export
• Elaboration of monthly reports (Data Stage)
• Development of improvements, cost reduction, efficiency measures
• Supervision of Import, Export and Special operations
• RMA’s importation by month
• Following on CTPAT-OEA Certifications
• Custom Broker’s audits
• Submaquila reports to SE
• Additional Job Functions: Fixed Asset Control in plant and System (Annex 24) and Obtention of new custom permissions
• Active participation of the SAFETY, CONTINUOS IMPROVEMENT and TRAINING initiatives, which include but are not limited to: A3 Certification and projects, STOP Observations, Monthly Safety Audits, SQDC board maintenance, upgrade and administration of KPI for the area, propose and execute CIP (Cost Improvement Projects), maintenance of LSW sheet, upgrade and maintenance of initiatives using Dploy system

Education

Required Experience

• Working in Import Export Activities
• Wide experience at customs procedures and regulations
• Wide Knowledge IMMEX, PROSEC, Annex 24/31 system, Laws and Regulations of foreign trade, 8vas rules, FDA Regulations, Sub maquila, AS 400, import export permits, negotiations with Brokers/carriers
