Job summary

HSBC Global Service Center in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Clearing and Settlements Team Leader to oversee end-to-end Futures and ETD Operations. You will ensure trades are captured, cleared and booked on trade date, and drive accuracy and risk controls across a 10+ person team.

In a hybrid work environment, you will collaborate with US regions and global counterparts to standardize processes, resolve breaks, and deliver a resilient operating model while coaching staff and advancing

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in Futures/Derivative Operations with leadership.
• Experience leading a team of 10+ SMEs.
• Strong knowledge of ETD markets and product concepts.
• Experience working with global/regional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Futures/Derivatives Operations team end-to-end delivery.
• Ensure trades are captured, cleared, and booked on trade date.
• Investigate and resolve T+1 breaks and reconcile positions.
• Coordinate with US stakeholders to align priorities.
• Escalate complex trade capture and lifecycle issues for remediation.
• Monitor systems (Clearvision) for trade acceptance and clearance.
• Provide coaching and performance management for the team.
• Ensure timely service delivery and adherence to exchange deadlines.
