Job summary

Alcon in Mexico City (Hybrid) is seeking a Sr. Associate, Production Planning to drive material planning, procurement, and production scheduling for the Surgical Instrumentation team.

You will coordinate with suppliers, R&D, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure timely availability of materials and assemblies for development timelines. The role requires 2–3+ years in procurement or production planning, strong SAP and Excel skills, and proven cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced, global

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 2–3+ years in procurement, planning, or supply chain operations.
• Experience supporting R&D, engineering, NPD, or manufacturing projects is desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Advanced SAP and Excel skills.
• Excellent English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Maintain material schedules to support R&D production and development activities.
• Coordinate flow of materials between suppliers, labs, and sites.
• Analyze quantities, costs, inventory, and material utilization.
• Review demand plans to identify shortages and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Lead material expediting and resolve supply disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with GxP and SOPs.
• Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
