Medtronic is seeking a Production Planning professional at the El Lago Site in Tijuana for a 12-month contract. You will plan and control production schedules to meet demand and ensure timely delivery of finished goods.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll optimize material availability, inventory, and capacity using ERP/MRP tools (SAP preferred). Strong analysis and clear communication with stakeholders are essential in this fast-paced setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of production planning, MPS/MRP, capacity planning, inventory management, and material requirements planning.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules to meet requirements.
• Advises management on work in progress, material availability, inventory, and disruptions.
• Schedules equipment and personnel; prepares work orders for components or parts based on a master production schedule.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, eng., logistics.
• Develops and implements recovery and action plans with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and directs material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of raw and approved finished goods materials timed to meet production requirements.
• Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, inventory levels, and potential production or material supply disruptions to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided on-time and at an optimal cost.
• Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, demand planning, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production planning, MPS/MRP, capacity planning, inventory management, and material requirements planning.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• Experience analyzing demand, inventory, backlog, material availability, production capacity, and customer requirements to develop and maintain executable production plans.
• Demonstrated ability to identify material or capacity constraints, assess business impact, and drive recovery/action plans with cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Demand Planning, Warehouse/Logistics, and other Supply Chain functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills .
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate priorities, risks, and recommendations to different organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• English proficiency sufficient to communicate effectively in meetings, emails, and cross-functional discussions.
