Job summary

Steelcase Tijuana / Amex de México is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and manage detailed manufacturing schedules on a daily to monthly basis. The role requires coordinating with Purchasing, operations, and management to ensure material availability and on-time production.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production planning within manufacturing, strong SAP PP and Excel skills, and a proven ability to optimize workflows in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with complex production flows and plant-level operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Assign shift-level tasks based on capacity, priorities, and resource availability.
• Adjust schedules proactively to respond to disruptions, material shortages, or demand changes.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure material availability.
• Coordinate manpower and machine capacity to meet production targets.
• Balance workload across shifts and departments to maximize productivity.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; collaborate to resolve delays.
• Use SAP and other planning tools to track production performance and KPIs.
• Generate and distribute performance reports to leadership and cross-functional teams.
