HSBC seeks an experienced Manager International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) Risk to provide expert risk stewardship for the IWPB retail credit portfolio. You will deliver independent oversight, governance and evidence-based challenge to the First Line of Defense, ensuring decisions stay within risk appetite.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in banking governance or related field.
• Deep understanding of non-financial risk from front line, risk, consultancy or audit roles.
• Experience using enterprise risk management tools such as Helios and RCAs.
• Advanced spoken and written English to present risk topics to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to synthesize information and support decision-making.
• Proven ability to plan, influence stakeholders and provide evidence-based challenge.
• Ability to work independently under pressure within a collaborative team environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge assumptions.
• Strong business understanding of lending products and their relation to risk strategy.
• Background in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Business Management (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Provide clear advice on policy application to support 1LOD in managing IWPB credit risk.
• Review and challenge control expectations to ensure fit for purpose and risk appetite.
• Assess issues across HSBC by diagnosing root causes and tracking ownership in Helios.
• Identify and manage top and emerging risks using the 4Qs and escalate when outside appetite.
• Build relationships with 1LOD/2LOD at Global and Country levels to improve governance.
• Review 1LOD risk reporting and escalate discrepancies for reliable senior info.
• Coordinate the Risk Appetite Statement process for IWPB and cascade into policies.
• Provide risk analysis across RC framework including RCAs, monitoring plans, events and losses.
• Educate and coach 1LOD management to strengthen risk controls.
• Facilitate senior management decisions with clear risk assessments and concise communication.
• Bring 1LOD/2LOD/3LOD together to solve problems quickly and encourage early escalation.
