Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Middle Office Controller to join the Global Service Center and oversee post-trade control for FX and IR futures in a hybrid work setting. You will manage daily reconciliations, escalation of exceptions, and MI reporting to ensure clean, auditable processes.

Collaborate with Front Office, IT and Operations to drive timely resolutions and strengthen operational risk controls.

Qualifications

Hands-on reconciliations and exception management across front-to-back trade flows.
Strong knowledge of product workflows and operational risk controls.
Ability to interpret breaks and resolve issues quickly within bank guidelines.
Experience with financial processing systems and accounting data quality.
Collaborate with Front Office, IT and Operations across stakeholders.
Clear written and verbal communication of exceptions, risks and actions.
Ability to prioritise daily controls and regulatory/audit requests.

Responsibilities

Own daily FX reconciliations between front office risk and operations systems.
Perform IR futures reconciliations to ensure positions and brokerage fees are accurate.
Coordinate exception resolution with Front Office, IT and Product Control to restore accuracy.
Run daily MI for control reporting and provide commentary on exceptions.
Review completion of daily operational tasks to ensure controls run as intended.
Address Audit, Regulatory and Compliance requests tied to reconciliation activity.
Escalate trade issues that could cause financial loss or affect client relationships.
