Job summary

HSBC Global Service Center seeks an experienced professional for the Middle Office Control role in Mexico City. You will own daily reconciliations, resolve exceptions, and coordinate across Front Office, IT and Product Control to keep books accurate.

You will run control MI, address regulatory requests, and push process improvements. Strong communication and risk awareness are essential to protect client relationships and firm integrity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in reconciliations and exception management across front-to-back trade flows.
• Proven understanding of operational risk and related controls.
• Ability to interpret breaks and resolve issues within bank guidelines.
• Experience using financial processing systems to validate positions and fees.

Responsibilities

• Own daily FX reconciliations between front office risk and operations systems.
• Perform IR futures reconciliations to confirm positions and brokerage fees.
• Coordinate exception resolution with Front Office, IT and Product Control.
• Run daily MI for control reporting and comment on exceptions for review.
• Review and validate completion of daily operational tasks to ensure controls run as intended.
• Address Audit, Regulatory and Compliance requests linked to reconciliation and operations.
• Escalate trade issues that could cause financial loss or affect client relationships.
