HSBC Global Service Center in Mexico is seeking a Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation Manager to oversee the account certification process and ensure accurate financial statements. The role covers governance, reporting to regulators (FCA, BoE, PRA in related contexts), and supervision of teams to deliver timely financial and regulatory submissions.

Requires a Bachelor’s in accounting and 5–8 years of experience, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and fluent English desirable.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mandatory.
• Accounting background 5-8 years of experience.
• Audit experience.
• Experience dealing with Finance units/auditors/ Regulators.
• Advanced quantitative and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Proficiency in Word.
• English proficiency desirable (B2+).
• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Take ownership and deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Provide oversight of the account certification process and remediation of initial findings to establish a long-term BSRS process.
• Ensure exceptions are identified, escalated, and reported to Finance.
• Support BSRS governance and analysis; provide timely information to senior management.
• Ensure reasonability of information in Financial Statements.
• Support reporting to regulators and public investors.
• Supervise monthly balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation across HSBC.
• Support close timetable and internal/external reporting deadlines.
• Assist in financial approvals of new business and regulatory treatments.
