Garena is seeking an HR Generalist in Mexico City to support HR operations and strategic initiatives. The role covers end-to-end HR operations, onboarding, employee engagement, and project execution. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, 2-5 years of HR experience in fast-paced environments, and strong communication skills. The People Team is at the forefront of empowering talent and enabling business growth at Garena. As an HR Generalist based in Mexico, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day execution of HR operations while contributing to broader people initiatives across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment and is eager to expand beyond operational responsibilities into more strategic HR exposure over time. You will work closely with the People Lead and HRBP to ensure smooth execution across core HR functions, while supporting various projects that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Job Description
  • Support end‑to‑end HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and benefits administration
  • Act as a key point of coordination across HR, employees, and external vendors to ensure smooth and compliant HR processes
  • Assist in executing Talent Acquisition and Talent Management initiatives, including interview coordination, candidate experience, and employee lifecycle support
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities, internal events, and culture‑building initiatives
  • Support the rollout and implementation of HR projects (e.g., process improvements, policy updates, employee experience initiatives)
  • Maintain and organize HR data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and proper documentation
  • Partner with HRBP and People Lead to identify operational gaps and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure alignment while adapting processes to local needs in Mexico
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
  • 2–5 years of experience in HR, preferably in a generalist or operations‑heavy role within a lean or fast‑paced environment
  • Strong execution skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Hands‑on, proactive, and resourceful, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects
  • Demonstrates structured thinking and the ability to identify issues and suggest practical solutions
  • Exposure to multiple HR functions (e.g., HR Ops, TA coordination, employee engagement) is preferred
  • Experience working in tech, gaming, start‑ups, or multicultural environments is a plus
  • Passion for games is a plus
