Pro Trans International in Monterrey, Mexico, seeks an HR Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day HR processes for employees in Mexico. You will maintain records, support onboarding/offboarding, coordinate payroll-related updates, and assist with HR inquiries and audits.

The role involves maintaining HRIS data, benefits administration, and producing HR reports while ensuring confidentiality. English/Spanish bilingual communication is preferred for a North America environment.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, Industrial Relations, or related field preferred.
  • 4–7 years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, payroll support, or related HR role.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and confidentiality standards.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

Responsabilidades

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files, including onboarding documents and status updates.
  • Create and manage employee records, process new-hire documentation, and support onboarding workflows.
  • Process and record employee data changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Verify payroll-related changes and help align HR data with payroll outputs.
  • Support enrollment and administration of employee benefits programs and documentation.
  • Support recruitment and pre-hire activities, including background checks and documentation.
  • Maintain HRIS information including compensation, attendance, and termination records.
  • Assist with offboarding and ensure documents and updates are completed on time.
  • Assist with compliance reviews and audits by ensuring HR and payroll documents are complete and stored.
  • Respond to employee and manager questions and provide day-to-day HR administrative support.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports using HRIS data and Excel.
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other teams to resolve data/process issues.
  • Handle employee information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Coordinate office events and engagement initiatives.

Position Summary: The HR Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day administration of Human Resources processes for employees in Mexico. This role maintains accurate employee records, processes employee changes, supports onboarding and offboarding, coordinates benefits and payroll-related updates, and keeps HRIS information complete and accurate. The position also supports employees and managers with HR questions, documentation, reporting, audits, and other HR operational activities while protecting confidential employee information.


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files, including onboarding documents, employment records, and status updates.

  • Create and manage employee records, process new-hire documentation, and support employee onboarding workflows.

  • Process and record employee data changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, address changes, and terminations.

  • Verify payroll-related changes and help ensure HR data is aligned with payroll system outputs.

  • Support enrollment and administration of employee benefits programs, including employee elections, updates, and required documentation.

  • Support recruitment and pre-hire activities, including employment applications, background checks, and required documentation.

  • Maintain HRIS information, including personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance information, and termination records.

  • Support employee offboarding and ensure required documents and system updates are completed on time.

  • Assist with compliance reviews and audits by ensuring HR and payroll documents are complete, accurate, and properly stored.

  • Respond to employee and manager questions and provide day-to-day HR administrative support.

  • Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports using HRIS data and Microsoft Excel.

  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy, service, and efficiency.

  • Work with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other teams to resolve employee data or process issues.

  • Handle employee information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

  • Coordinate office events and support the planning and execution of employee activities and engagement initiatives.


Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field preferred.

  • 4–7 years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, employee services, payroll support, benefits administration, or a related HR role.

  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employee records management, and confidentiality standards.

  • Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in employee data, documentation, and transactions.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred for a North America HR environment.

  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.


Language Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
