Sonoco in Mexico City is seeking an HR Generalist to oversee compensation, compliance and talent management for the plant. You will partner with plant leadership to implement HR programs and coach performance improvements.

You will manage employee relations, recruitment, training, and diversity initiatives, ensuring fair practices and policy adherence while collaborating with Corporate HR and local management.

Responsabilidades

• Implements compensation changes consistently using best practices (spot bonuses, job structures, base rates).
• Collaborates with Corporate Compensation to design effective local compensation programs.
• Communicates wage increases within the plant.
• Handles workers' compensation claims.
• Keeps management updated on compliance topics.
• Conducts harassment and workplace violence training.
• Acts as point of contact for compliance training topics (e.g., cyber security).
• Works with COEs, plant leadership and Field HR Manager on talent management.
• Coaches leaders on performance improvement plans and development plans for employees.
• Provides counseling on company policies, procedures, legal requirements, performance, discipline, benefits, restructuring.
• Coaches operations leadership in partnership with Field HR Manager/Division HR leader.
• Oversees Employee Relations, Employee Engagement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion activities.
• Builds relationships with salaried and hourly workforce; facilitates open discussions and conflict resolution.
• Investigates employee issues via hotline/open door/audit; manages disciplinary background investigations.
• Partners with corporate DE&I functions for plant training and inclusion activities.
• Supports plant recruiting in partnership with COE; onboards new employees; ensures diverse recruiting; community involvement for future hiring.
