Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Director of Engineering to maintain a safe, operable hotel/resort environment, lead maintenance and energy programs, and drive continuous improvements. You will manage budgets, capital projects, and regulatory compliance while guiding cross-functional teams and contractors to deliver high-quality service.

The role requires extensive facilities management experience in a hospitality setting, strong leadership, and proficiency with maintenance technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience actively serving in a facilities engineering leadership role in a hotel/resort environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Property Management, or similar preferred or significant relevant experience.
• Extensive project management experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance skills.
• Must be strategic and have strong business acumen.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Communications: Prepare and deliver messages to internal and external stakeholders and prepare reports.
• Quality Control: Oversee standards for hotel/resort facilities and monitor service quality.
• Technology: Plan and manage facility management technologies and systems.
• Operations & Maintenance: Assess facility condition, manage maintenance activities and contractor relations.
• Finance & Business: Manage departmental budgets and contracts.
• Emergency Planning: Support emergency preparedness programs and drills.
• Project Management: Plan and manage projects, contracts, and implementations.
• Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability: Promote sustainability and track utility data.
