Job summary

Siemens Energy (part of the Omterra brand transition) is seeking an High Voltage Protection & Control Engineering Trainee in Mexico, Queretaro. The role targets individuals with an electrical or mechanical-electrical engineering background and hands-on project experience.

You will help develop protection & control packages for HV AIS substations, review customer specs, and contribute to EPC project engineering.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical-Electrical engineering bachelor degree.
• Hands-on experience in product or project engineering, manufacturing, design or commissioning desirable.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with CAD/engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop protection & control engineering packages for HV AIS substation design.
• Review customer specs and P&C single-line diagrams.
• Perform conceptual and detailed engineering for EPC AIS substations.
• Create and review 3-phase schematics and protection/control schematics.

• Academic Electrical or Mechanical-Electrical engineering bachelor degree.
• Professional experience: Participation in extracurricular activities or practical experience in product or project engineering, manufacturing, design, commissioning, etc.
• Technical skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, AutoCad, Eplan, or similar software’s
• Languages Advanced English
• Skills/Competences Proactive, teamwork, good communication, organization, problem solving

• Review of customer specs, P&C SLD.
