Job summary

OMI is seeking a Launch Coordinator to lead cross-functional teams in new product introductions and APQP follow-up. You will align engineering, quality, manufacturing, and purchasing on milestones, risks, and actions for timely launches both in Mexico and abroad.

Responsibilities include tracking schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring completion of FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and PPAP, with a focus on minimizing risk and ensuring production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience coordinating NPIs and launches in auto/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of APQP deliverables (FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, PPAP).
• Strong cross-functional communication and risk management.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new product launches per project plans and APQP.
• Track schedules, milestones, deliverables, and open actions.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to review progress and risks.
• Ensure APQP deliverables (FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP) are complete.
• Identify risks, assign owners, and monitor mitigation plans.
• Facilitate communication among Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and suppliers.
• Prepare status reports and launch readiness updates.
• Support transition from development to production and customer visits.
