Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive, outgoing, and service-oriented Global Mobility Specialist to provide hands-on support to foreign employees working in Mexico.

Based in Matamoros, this position will assist employees with local immigration, tax, social security, and other administrative procedures. The role includes preparing and reviewing documentation, scheduling appointments, accompanying employees to government offices, and following up on each process until completion.

This is a hands‑on role that requires strong interpersonal skills, conversational English, organization, and the ability to resolve day‑to‑day issues. In‑depth technical knowledge of immigration, tax, or social security regulations is not required, as training and internal guidance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome, guide, and support foreign employees throughout their administrative processes in Mexico.
  • Explain requirements, appointment details, and next steps clearly in English.
  • Collect and review passports, residence cards, CURP certificates, proof of address, and other required documents.
  • Schedule and follow up on appointments with government agencies.
  • Accompany employees to SAT, IMSS, INM, and other government offices in Matamoros.
  • Support employees in obtaining their Mexican Tax Identification Number (RFC).
  • Assist employees with the process of obtaining their Social Security Number (NSS).
  • Provide support with immigration-related appointments and procedures when required.
  • Confirm that each employee has complete and accurate documentation before attending an appointment.
  • Maintain organized and updated physical and digital employee files.
  • Track appointments, pending documents, deadlines, and the status of each case.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between foreign employees, internal teams, and government offices.
  • Provide Spanish-English interpretation during appointments when necessary.
  • Keep employees and internal stakeholders informed about the progress of each process.
  • Follow up on issues, missing documents, or rejected applications until they are resolved.
  • Prepare simple status reports and maintain an updated case tracker.
  • Support other employee onboarding and relocation activities when needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Current residence in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, or a nearby area.
  • Conversational English and native or fluent Spanish.
  • Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, document processing, Human Resources, consular services, or a similar position.
  • Availability to work on‑site and travel locally to government offices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with foreign employees, internal stakeholders, and government personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow up on multiple cases, appointments, and documents simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using online platforms, email, Microsoft Office, and digital filing systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential and personal information responsibly.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting foreign employees or international clients.
  • Experience completing administrative procedures with government agencies.
  • Basic knowledge of SAT, IMSS, INM, SRE, or consular processes.
  • Experience scheduling appointments and managing individual case files.
  • Familiarity with global mobility, immigration, relocation, employee onboarding, or expatriate services.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is approachable, reliable, and knows how to get things done.

We are looking for someone who feels comfortable communicating with foreign employees in English, visiting government offices, asking questions, following up consistently, and finding practical solutions when an issue arises.

This person should be organized enough to keep every document and appointment under control, while also providing employees with a friendly and positive experience throughout their relocation and onboarding process.

What We Offer
  • Monthly gross salary of MXN $16,000–$20,000, based on experience and English proficiency.
  • Mexican statutory benefits.
  • Training and guidance on the applicable government procedures.
  • Direct interaction with foreign employees and international stakeholders.
