Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics seeks an International Operations Agent II to coordinate day-to-day import/export activities, ensuring compliance with regulations across air and ocean modes. You will manage customer communications, scheduling, and data entry while coordinating with partners and carriers worldwide.

The role focuses on accurate quotations, timely departures, and adherence to AIT KPI guidelines, with opportunities to grow within our global network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in export/import operations.
• 5+ years experience as freight forwarder for international operations.
• CCS-Certified Coding Specialist - Certified Cargowise Specialist (CCS) (Required).
• Dangerous Goods Certification (Preferred).
• Knowledge of AES and CBP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Qualify shipping requirements with customers and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operation.
• Prepare profitable quotations accurately.
• Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to verify loading, departures and arrivals in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the day to day import and/or export of products, including reviewing orders and documents.
• Track and communicate delays, damages, problems and work to resolve customer issues.
• Responsible for all aspects of air and/or ocean international operations such as customer service, data entry, operations and billing.
• Manage all aspects of tracking shipments to ensure movement as scheduled and update the system immediately upon verification.
• Coordinate recovery/delivery schedules with various cartage agents and international partners.
