Job summary

Expeditors International seeks an Commercial Employment Attorney to join the global legal team, advising on labor and employment matters across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and LatAm. You will counsel business units, manage disputes, and lead investigations to support compliant operations.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate, bar admission in Mexico or relevant jurisdiction, and 3–5 years in a top firm or in-house environment with strong English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree required.
• Licensed to practice law in Mexico or relevant jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years of experience in a top law firm preferred.
• In-house Fortune 500 experience is desirable but not required.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on labor and employment laws across US, Mexico, Canada and LatAm.
• Advise on discipline, non-compete, leave, wage/hour, unions, contractor management.
• Manage litigation, outside counsel, and budgets.
• Conduct internal investigations and respond to subpoenas.
