Coins, a pioneer crypto brand, seeks a Compliance and Risk Officer for North American operations. You will establish and run robust compliance programs across Canada and the US, act as MLRO, and collaborate with regulators, banks, and payout partners to ensure ongoing regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AML/FD regulatory experience in money services businesses or payments.
• Experience building compliance programs, including policies, risk assessments, and training.
• Demonstrated ability to file suspicious activity / reports and run monitoring.

Responsibilities

• As Compliance Officer, create and maintain written compliance programs for both entities.
• As MLRO, run transaction monitoring and sanctions screening, escalate as needed.
• Coordinate regulator inquiries, audits, and information requests with banks and partners.
• Oversee FINTRAC, Bank of Canada, and FinCEN registrations and reporting processes.
• Lead cross-border compliance reviews and monitor state money transmission requirements.
