Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer / Global Capital Engineer to develop and implement automated manufacturing equipment for new products, including power tools and battery packs, ensuring readiness, capacity, and cost targets.

You will lead automation projects, apply Lean practices, evaluate new technologies, support global standardization, and drive cost reductions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience developing manufacturing projects; Power Tools and Lithium-Ion Battery Pack manufacturing preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency for global engineering communication.
• Strong knowledge of project management, Lean, automation, and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated manufacturing equipment for new products, ensuring readiness, capacity, timing, and performance targets.
• Improve existing processes through automation, Lean methods, and low-cost automation initiatives.
• Identify and evaluate new manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, quality, safety, and process performance.
• Lead equipment transfers, refurbishments, upgrades, and installation across global locations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate project status and scope changes from design to production.
