is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead the Latin America Design Center and oversee an integrated, multi-site engineering organization across Mexico and Texas. The role emphasizes NPI leadership, localization, reliability, testing, and cost and warranty improvements while collaborating with global centers and category teams. The candidate will drive value engineering, lifecycle engineering, and design-for-manufacture strategies

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering and product development experience.
• Experience leading managers and multi-site engineering organizations.
• Strong background in new product introduction, sustaining/product lifecycle engineering, and cross-functional program execution.
• Bilingual English/Spanish; Portuguese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mexico Design Center across multiple sites, including direct leadership of PLE leaders and their teams.
• Build vision, strategy, and action plan to expand the design center for innovation and new product development.
• Create a cohesive operating model across NPI, sustaining engineering, reliability, testing, and value engineering.
• Drive NPI, localization, and lifecycle engineering initiatives with global teams.
• Provide oversight for teams maintaining existing products and resolving field or factory quality issues.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, cost, timing, reliability, safety, and manufacturability.
• Oversee builds, launch readiness, production ramp-up, and ongoing manufacturing stability.
• Champion cost reduction and warranty improvement through engineering-led problem solving.
