Oferta confidencial is seeking an Engineering Manager in Tecate, Baja California, to lead engineering initiatives across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in the medical devices industry, demonstrating strong skills in managing objectives, budgets, and team development.
Responsibilities include advising management, supervising engineering staff, and ensuring compliance to standards. A bachelor's degree in engineering and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish are required.
1. Advises Management on Engineering problems and provides assistance to the Production Manager, by using Statistical and Engineering techniques and tools such as: SPC, DOE, FMEA, TQM, TPM JIT, etc.
2.- Formulates, Negotiates and Manages the Department’s Objectives and Budgets, as well as the Strategies and Action Plans to achieve those Objectives in more than one Plant Location.
3.- Responsible for the Plant Layout.
4.- Supervises and Coordinates the Activities of Subordinates to facilitate the Implementation and Operation of the Company’s Engineering Systems in more than one Plant Location. Responsible for Selecting, Training, Motivating, Developing and acting as a Facilitator to the Engineering Staff. Also Responsible for Promoting and Maintaining Interdepartmental harmony.
5.- Checks Engineering Designs as to their compliance with the Client’s requirements, to Engineering Principles and the Standards of the Organization. Validates and Authorizes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Engineering Department.
6.- Directs Engineering Personnel in the formulation of blueprints, designs, cost estimates and specifications.
7.- Supervises or Conducts Investigations and Special Studies to evaluate the efficiency of the Engineering Programs.
8.- Participates as a Member of the Managerial Team in the Development and the Implementation of new Products.
9.- Experienced in medical devices industry
