Ford México seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design and deploy scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc. You will drive end-to-end data integration, governance, and security, collaborating with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data platforms.

The role requires 5–7 years in data/software engineering, strong SQL/Python skills, and experience with cloud IaC and CI/CD.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong English skills.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-based data platforms, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and cloud-based data processing technologies.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud security, data governance, and data quality best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Data Pipeline Architect & Builder: design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion and curation pipelines from diverse sources.
• End-to-End Integration Expert: contribute to seamless end-to-end development and reliable data flow from source to insight.
• GCP Data Solutions Leader: build and manage data platforms using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions.
• Data Governance & Security Champion: implement governance policies, access controls, and security best practices on GCP.
• Data Workflow Orchestrator: use Astronomer and Terraform for data workflows and IaC provisioning.
• Performance Optimization Driver: monitor and improve pipeline performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborative Innovator: work with data architects and cross-functional teams to promote best practices and patterns.
• Automation & Reliability Advocate: automate data platform processes to enhance reliability and data quality.
• Effective Communicator: explain technical decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Continuous Learner: stay ahead of industry trends and technologies.
• Business Impact Translator: translate business requirements into optimized data designs and code.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharer: create comprehensive docs for data engineering processes.
