Job summary

AgileEngine is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to design and scale a platform used by enterprise procurement teams. You will work across React and Ruby on Rails to convert wireframes into production features, collaborating with product, data science, and design to tackle complex problems within a growing engineering team.

The role blends frontend and backend ownership, with emphasis on scalable solutions, performance, and reliable delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building web applications with Rails, Entity, Spring, or similar MVC frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL databases (Postgres/RDS preferred).
• 3+ years of experience using HTML and CSS for web UIs.
• 3+ years turning wireframes into clean, functional features.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills, strategic mindset, and leadership potential.
• Performance mindset for client-side and server-side optimization.
• Experience using Git for source control with GitHub.
• Experience in fast-moving environments with on-call rotations and SLAs/SLOs/RPOs/RTOs.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation and build scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Staff Tech Leads to estimate and commit.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
