Lyft is seeking an software engineering intern in Mexico City for a 12-week, 40-hour-per-week program. You will work alongside top engineers, contribute to user-facing products, and see your code go live quickly.

Expect to tackle real-time tech challenges, participate in code reviews, and help build reliable systems. Ideal candidates are pursuing a CS degree, graduating in 2027–2028, with strong JS/HTML/CSS knowledge, React experience, and a passion for community and transportation.

Formación

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field (required).
• Graduating between December 2027 and Summer 2028 (required).
• Available Summer 2027 in Mexico City for a 12-week, 40-hour-per-week internship.
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, like React.
• Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation.
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment.
• Experience with real-time technology problems.
• Contributions to open source projects.
• Experience working with databases.
• Experience solving real-time technology problems.
• Previous work with social networks.

Responsabilidades

• Own your project and provide regular updates to teammates.
• Leave the code in a better state through progressive refactors.
• Emphasize reliability with unit, integration, and load testing.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge.
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Work to meaningfully improve Lyft drivers and riders through your work.
