WhatJobs Direct is seeking bright backend development interns for a fully remote role in Mexico. You will collaborate with senior engineers to build, test, and deploy robust backend systems and APIs, gaining hands-on experience in server-side development, databases, and system design.

You will contribute to real projects, participate in code reviews, and learn modern backend technologies in a supportive, remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Solid understanding of backend programming concepts and algorithms.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Java, Ruby, Node.js).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication for remote work.
• Self-starter with willingness to learn and adapt.
• Reliable internet and suitable remote workspace.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
