Job summary

Lyft is seeking a Software Engineer for the SupplyPlatform team to advance the platform infrastructure enabling autonomous vehicles, premium offerings, taxi integration, and international expansion. You will collaborate across teams to ensure code reaches users and drives impact, taking ownership of projects from idea to execution.

You will work on roadmap-based architecture, write maintainable code, and influence large-scale distributed systems while engaging with internal and external partners

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with high-level programming languages; experience with Python and Go is a plus.
• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong background in distributed systems, and proficient in relational or NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience in designing, debugging, and managing fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
• Nice to have: proficiency in AI toolings (Claude code, Cursor, etc).

• Help establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and understanding of customer needs
• Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
• Can help lead large projects from idea to positive execution
• Unblock, support and communicate with external and internal partners to achieve results
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
• Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices
