Job summary

Fanatics Collectibles is expanding in Mexico City and seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join the Collector Engagement team. You will deliver progression, redemption, and rewards experiences, partnering with Product, Design, Backend, and Platform Engineering to implement scalable frontend features.

You will build reusable components, ensure performance, and participate in CI/CD and release management while mentoring teammates and advancing frontend excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional frontend or mobile development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with React or React Native.
• Familiarity with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Client-side state management and caching knowledge.
• Experience building scalable consumer-facing applications.
• Ability to implement designs faithfully, including interaction states.
• Understanding of performance optimization and testing strategies.
• Experience instrumenting analytics and working with the resulting data.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication in cross-functional environments.
• English working proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain collector-facing features and shared components.
• Build scalable experiences for progression, redemption, leaderboard and check-in flows.
• Implement designs with full interaction state coverage and error handling.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and product stakeholders to define APIs.
• Build scan and QR entry points for low-end devices and constrained networks.
• Write clean, maintainable and tested code following frontend best practices.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and platform improvements.
• Contribute to the shared component library for reuse across programs.
• Instrument features for telemetry and measurable collector actions.
• Optimize performance, reliability, accessibility and UX.
• Participate in release management, CI/CD improvements and ops support.
• Help improve observability, crash reporting and quality standards.
• Conduct code reviews and mentorship across the team.
• Stay current with frontend trends and tooling.
