Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Product Manager to own the Payments and FinOps portfolio for Fanatics Collectibles in Mexico City. You will define strategy for how collectors pay, sellers are paid, and refunds are processed, balancing conversion, cost, and risk.

You’ll work with engineering, finance, and operations to build homegrown solutions or integrate vendors, driving platform-level improvements and scalable financial operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management experience.
• Hands-on experience owning payments, checkout, payouts, billing, or financial operations products at a marketplace, ecommerce, or fintech.
• Knowledge of how money moves: payment processors and gateways / authorization, capture, and settlement / refunds and chargebacks / payout rails / ledger and accounting systems / reconciliation flows.
• Advanced written specification skills, including defining rules-heavy flows and edge cases.
• Experience partnering with engineering on platform and architecture tradeoffs.
• Experience working with Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Risk stakeholders and translating their needs into product requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to define metrics, instrumentation, and data Pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for a shared checkout and payment framework used across storefronts and products.
• Define and prioritize payment methods and flows (cards, wallets, PayPal, FanCash, stored balances, split/mixed-tender).
• Partner with engineering on processor integration, orchestration, authentication (3DS/SCA), tokenization, and PCI scope.
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety to embed fraud screening and risk rules in the checkout flow.
• Own the payout experience and tooling for sellers (bank transfer, PayPal, FanCash), scheduling, fees, holds, and advances.
• Drive automation of payout processing to shorten time-to-money and reduce manual work.
• Improve cost and reliability of international payouts as we expand.
• Define refunds, disputes, and adjustment workflows; ensure end-to-end reconciliation.
• Define and track platform accounting tools, tax capabilities, and end-to-end revenue reporting.
