Qualifications

• Knowledge of customs brokerage process
• Understanding of ocean, transcon and air documentation
• Knowledge of air, road and ocean transport
• Basic Accounting Knowledge

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
• Understand all the elements of the import and export customs DLSOP and interpret this information to fulfill customers’ instructions.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
• Track and trace Customs files.
• Keep up with Mexican billing regulations according to law modifications.
• Verify documents for Import and Export customs are compliant and correct.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Understand department process flow and identify efficiency improvements.
• Overseas communications and timely responses to emails and requests.
• Escalate problems to Management as needed.
• Meet company standard of 52 hours of training per year per employee.
• Attend training classes when required.
• Complete mandatory training when required.
• Promote compliance with all policies and regulations with integrity and pride.
• Adhere to Expeditors’ 10 cultural attributes
