Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to support on-demand operations across global data centers. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot servers and networking gear, ensuring high availability and security.

You’ll work independently with remote teams, document tasks, and implement robust security practices. This role offers flexible hours for freelancers and travel to data center locations as needed.

Formación

• 3+ years of data center operations experience, freelance preferred
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT preferred
• Hands-on with Cisco and Juniper networking devices
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs
• Certifications like CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/JNCIS or Linux+ desirable
• Willingness to travel and work non-standard hours

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking gear for uptime
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnose issues
• Configure networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) for secure operations
• Manage Linux and Windows systems, apply updates and patches
• Document installations and performance for the remote team
• Implement security protocols to protect infrastructure
• Collaborate with remote teams, vendors, and stakeholders on projects
